Glenda's Book Update #16

Wow, the summer is flying by!

Just a quick note this month to invite you to the opening of Readers' Café tonight! Readers' Café – a place to gather and to share – is a place to ask questions about my autobiography, share stories and brainstorm ideas. It officially opens at 7pm EDT/4pm PDT on Do It Myself Blog today, Wednesday, July 18th.

You are welcome to stay for the whole evening or to pop in and out amidst making dinner, putting the kids to bed, working at on your laptop on the beach or whatever you doing between 7-10pm Eastern Daylight Time. Join the conversation by simply posting comments. You never know where the conversation may lead or who may show up.

Readers’ Café will then be held the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Hope to see you there!

Until next month...please feel free to forward this to friends and colleagues...

Warmly,
Glenda

P.S. Please support my campaign to blog for a year by casting your vote daily. Thanks!

Readers' Corner:

Have you read my autobiography I’ll Do It Myself and now have a question or two? Do you have a question about what it is like living with a disability, but have felt too inhibited to ask? Do you need suggestions on how to make something accessible? Go ahead, ask me! Send your questions to questions@BooksbyGlenda.com. All questions are welcomed; no question is too basic.

Reader's Question

"How did you juggle client work, the huge project of writing an autobiography, household responsibilities, family time and still having a life? "
~ Cristina Favreau, The Savvy Entrepreneur

Glenda's Response

Balance is definitely not one of my strengths! When I dive into a project, I put my all into it. And, unfortunately, other parts of my life are neglected. I have had to rewash a few loads of laundry because I didn't swap them over to the dryer soon enough. My sweet husband Darrell frequently makes supper so that I can continue working or writing. When I was working on a paying project, my book writing was put aside. Constant juggling is required so that the most important tasks aren't dropped, while the least important tasks do get dropped.

Special Announcement: Watch for another virtual book tour in mid August! More details in the next newsletter!
